The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), lead by Rep. Emanuel Cleaver II (D-IL), is on a month-long “Jobs Tour”, passing mostly through swing states, and featuring 200 different companies having a total of 10,000 jobs to be filled. However, they are very, vocally upset about the “staggering” unemployment rate within the black community, which hit 16.8% in July–well over the 9.1% national rate.
Members of the CBC, inclulding Cleaver, met with President Barak Obama on three separate ocassions to discuss measures aimed at reducing black unemployment, but yet he has done nothing about it, according to reporting by Ylan Q. Mi, on August 9, 2011, in the Washington Post.
Particularly jarring to President Obama was Rep. Cleaver claiming that the debt-ceiling deal … “unfairly harms African-Americans” (without describing how), calling it a “Satan Sandwich”.
In the same article, Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) weighed in with this statement directed toward President Obama … “We want him to know that from this day forward … we’ve had it.”
Also letting her thoughts be known was Maxine Waters (D-CA), as reported in a Huffington Post article by Trymaine Lee, in reference to President Obama’s “Listening Tour” [by bus] through the heartland, where she was quoted as saying “We don’t know why on this trip that he’s in the United States now, he’s not in any black community. We want to give him every opportunity, but our people are hurting. The [black] unemployment rate is unconcionable. We don’t know what the strategy is … We’re supportive of the President, but we getting tired, y’all, getting tired.”
But, Maxine Waters was still not finished, as according to a FOXNews article today, while she spoke at an event last week in Detroit, Waters told the audience that she was very frustrated with President Obama’s approach to the economy, and urged voters to “unleash her on the White House”–in other words asking their permission for her to get mad at Barak Obama … and they said “yes”!
In an amazing contradiction, even in view of all the pain and suffering in the black community, Rep. Donna F. Edwards (D-MD) said, “Overall, I hear very strong support for the President”, which is supported by poll numbers showing that President Obama’s job approval rating among blacks is still at about 80%–although significantly down from the 97% he enjoyed on election day.
Finally, as reported in the same FOXNews article and captured by an ABC News camera, while she spoke at a forum in Inglewood, California this past Saturday, after Waters and other lawmakers faced a series of questions from residents, about what the government can do to fuel job creation, she finally shot back agrily:
“I’m not afraid of anybody. This is a tough game. You can’t be intimidated. You can’t be frightened. And, as far as I am concerned, the Tea Party can go straight to hell!”
As her response seemed totally disjunctive from any context supplied, we wonder how, after all of the above reported pain, suffering and angry contempt that was leveled upon President Obama, Maxine Waters, in a “spontaneous utterance” (unbridled confession of truth), turned this collective anger against the “Tea Party”?
It is because the Democrats are scared to death of the Tea Party, especially because the undeniable facts highlight the Democrats extraordinarily failed record, draped with it’s anti-business, budget-busting, big-government plans ARE what stand in the way of a private sector, job generating, economic recovery, entering the 2012 election cycle.
This is a “tough [new] game”, and the very formitable Tea Party single-handedly delivered the worst “shelacking” in 70 years to the Democrats during the 2010 mid-term elections.
This “sleeping giant”, called “The Tea Party”, has indeed intimidated and frightened Maxine Waters, along with the whole Congressional Black Caucus, the entire Democrat Party, and even President Barak Obama–even though they publicly proclaim otherwise.
Democrats across the country can foresee the solid wall of Conservative Character, Honor and Integrity they are going to hit on November 6, 2012, built on a very likely motivated voter turn out by Republicans, Independents and newly enlightened Democrats, to cast their ballots for Republican candidates, in vivid rejection of the again-failed Liberal/Socialist Ideology.
The “Perfect Liberal Storm” of November 2008 that nearly lead to the demise of the greatest country in Earth’s history, stemming from a philosophy that is in exact opposition to the independence, self-reliance, personal accountability and military sacrifice of the pioneers and founding fathers by which our country was formed and prospered.
The entitlement mentality fermenting in a growing portion of our population must be interrupted now; before our nation suffers what British Prime Minister Cameron recently characterized as, “a moral collapse”, and fall into urban social conflicts like those they now are being forced to reckon with.
