There appears to be no official explanation for the strange UFO sighting in Hamilton, Ontario over the past couple of weeks.
Jonathan Bagg of NavCanada runs the control tower at John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport. According to Bagg, nothing unusual was seen other than the usual planes over the city.
“There were no reports of anything unusual,” he said.
Interestingly, UFOs have been making headlines in conventional news media more and more lately something that those in the UFO community believe is leading to ultimate discloser that they have actually been here for some time. A report in Yahoo News on July 30, 2011 noted that a Swedish researcher believes he found a crashed flying saucer under the Gulf of Bothnia.
Peter Lindberg and his team were using sonar on the ocean floor between Finland and Sweden in hopes of finding an old shipwreck when they spotted a round object that might not be man made.
Lindberg described the object to local media as “a large circle, about 60 feet in diameter. You see a lot of weird stuff in this job but during my 18 years as a professional, I have never seen anything like this. The shape is completely round.”
He added that there appeared to be “evidence of scars or marks disturbing the environment nearby,” which would suggest the object skid across the ocean floor. There is a sonar image of the object but much debate continues as to whether this object is of extraterrestrial origin.
As for Lindberg, he speculated that it might be a new “Stonehenge” but he is not interested in investigating the object further.
