Beginning in the fall of 2009, the Mercer County Public Library began undergoing a major remodeling process. The library was temporarily moved to an empty building across the street and remained there for the entire 15 month remodeling. This post will show you what the library looked like before the remodel and during the demolition phase.
The library reopenend in November of 2010 and has been a great new asset to the Harrodsburg Community. Not only did the library double in size, but now it is turned into several different “open area” libraries: children’s zone, teenage zone, computer zone, research zone and relaxation zone.
The new Mercer County Public Library is a wonderful addition to our town and is visited daily by people of all ages and backgrounds.
