Throughout last week’s Comic-Con event, a new The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 poster was on display (along with those character cards; there are more of those to share today, too). Now, it has been officially released, thanks to Twilight Facebook.
As you can see in the image, the characters “Edward” (Robert Pattinson), “Bella” (Kristen Stewart), and “Jacob” (Taylor Lautner) are in the same pose shown on the front of the Breaking Dawn calendar, and the rest of the “Cullen” family stands in the back.
I like “Rosalie” (Nikki Reed) and her posture in this one. It’s very protective. After what we got to know of her backstory in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, it’ll be good to see her become this fierce and protective being in Part 1. Also, I honestly do like the way they did hair for “Alice” and “Jasper” in this one. I might be in the minority on that, but to me, it matches the book’s original description a little more than the previous stylings.
One last note . . . I like the fact that “Jacob” is amongst all these vampires and standing just behind “Bella.” That’s what he does, so much, in Breaking Dawn – Part 1: immerse himself into a world he never liked to be there for her. The division between them all is virtually non-existent here, and while there is still some tension for sure, there is focus on the priorities of the situation (namely, “Bella’s” survival of these new, more dangerous obstacles).
Your thoughts on the new poster?
Note: Attached in the slideshow are the Comic-Con character cards for Breaking Dawn – Part 1. “Alice,” “Carlisle,” and “Jasper” have been added. New quotes for each are included as follows:
- Alice: “Weddings. They bring everyone together.”
- Carlisle: “If there’s anything we can do to save her, we have to try.”
- Jasper: “Don’t worry, Bella, we’ll get him back in plenty of time.”
Sound familiar, don’t they?
