Dani: “There is an old saying: birds of a feather flock together.”

Dani: “Shake the man’s hand. Rub the guy’s belly. Do whatever it is that you guys do.”
This week’s client is a troubled Phil who happens to be the cursed mascot of the Hawks. Seeing how a lot of athletes and sports teams are superstitious, having the Hawks have a “curse” is a plausible storyline that proved to be entertaining. This allowed Dani to work with basically the entire Hawks team. With these new, non-Hawks related clients, the writers have to separate Dani from the Hawks slightly, so having a case where she can work with Nico, Matt, the Coach, and some Hawks players helps bring all the main characters together and builds on their relationships.
Dani: “I hear that you have been chitty chatting with Nico about my dating life.”
Speaking of relationships, this episode also displayed quite a few relationships. First there is Nico and Dani. When there are two very different characters in a show, it is fun to put them together, especially when one is a silently mysterious guy and the other is a therapist who is used to knowing everything about people. Anytime Dani and Nico have a scene together, it is great. Secondly, there is Dani and JD who have been dating for a couple episodes now. Sadly, that ends, but the writers manage to end it realistically. JD always travels and Dani is very grounded in her life, and cannot afford to leave on a whim. Opposites do not attract in that case. Finally, Matt and TK got some onscreen time together. Seeing how Matt is the trainer for the Hawks, it makes sense that he and TK have a relationship, but it is never really shown on screen. This episode did just that, and allowed viewers to see how close of friends they are.
TK: “Looks like you guys got robbed by tweety bird.”
