Only a few days after we first heard about the character of Gertrude Verbanski on NBC’s “Chuck,” we now officially have an actress attached the part.
According to TVLine, “The Matrix” alum Carrie-Anne Moss has been attached to play the upcoming love interest for John Casey for the coming season. Gertrude is going to be a key part of a rival spy company, which is of course going to pose a number of major questions for the character as to whether or not he can fully pursue what his heart wants him to do. (Look for a love / hate relationship to form here, which is always funny when it involves Adam Baldwin.)
This is certainly not the only casting news we have heard, as both Mark Hamill and Craig Kilborn are going to appear in the premiere this October. Unlike these parts, though, Carrie-Anne’s role will be recurring on the show.
What do you think of this casting?
