The Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN Station next to Five Points is a popular destination for sports enthusiasts, concert goers and convention attendees heading to events at the Georgia Dome, Philips Arena and the Georgia World Congress Center.
The station itself is fairly uncomplicated, just deep underground. There are two main ways to exit the station:
Georgia Dome Exit
The Georgia Dome exit connects directly to a lower entrance of the Georgia Dome at the west end of the station.
Philips Arena Exit
The Philips Arena exit goes to street level via tall escalators (elevator also available). There’s a MARTA entrance to Philips Arena at the top, otherwise, turn left for:
- Georgia World Congress Center
- Georgia Dome Courtyard
- College Football Hall of Fame
- Georgia Aquarium
- Taco Mac
- Omni Hotel
- Hilton Garden Inn
- Embassy Suites Downtown Atlanta
Or turn right at the top of the escalators for:
- CNN Center
- Centennial Olympic Park
- Glenn Hotel
- World of Coca-Cola
- Imagine It! Children’s Museum
There are no buses, parking or a passenger drop-off/pick-up area at this station. The next best option is at Vine City Station, one stop west at 502 Rhodes Street. You can also walk to the Dome via the Vine City Station as a less crowded option.
