On their 30 year anniversary tour, Motley Crue played to a near sold out audience at the First Midwest Bank Ampitheatre last night. After legendary punk glam band the New York Dolls and fellow hair metal rockers Poison took the stage, Crue blasted on to the stage (literally) with a flashy show of pyrotechnics, Marshall amps, and a stage presence reminiscent of the Girls, Girls, Girls and Dr. Feelgood tours, complete with scantily clad backup vixens and an upside down Tommy Lee on drums. With their high tech steampunk meets glam stage and a top notch sound, the boys rocked the house in true Motley style: loud, dirty, imperfect, and full of rock and roll energy.
