For the second straight year, a resident of the Mobile area has won the Alabama Bodybuilding Championships and the coveted title of “Mr. Alabama”. Mike Phelps, a resident of Fairhope in Baldwin county, won the title of Mr. Alabama on Saturday, August 27th in Birmingham. Mike is a certified personal trainer and instructs people on how to change and improve their bodies at Personal Training and Nutrition in Mobile.
Personal Training and Nutrition, Inc. is located on Schillinger Road, next to Zaxby’s. PT&N, Inc. is the only personal training studio in the Mobile area (and possibly the state) with two Mr. Alabama winners on staff.
Mike dieted 16 weeks while preparing for the Alabama Championships and was given the nod as the best physique in the competition by the panel of judges. The title of Mr. Alabama is a very close knit “fraternity” of guys. There can be only one Mr. Alabama winner per year and in 2011 it is Mike Phelps from Baldwin county. Last year, Robert Calin from Mobile won the title. Both Mike Phelps and Robert Calin were advised and trained by Mike Horn, owner of PT&N, Inc. in Mobile while preparing for the event.
Mike Phelps insists that anyone interested in changing their physique should consult and use a personal trainer who has competitive bodybuilding experience. Competitive bodybuilders are, by far, the best people to consult with when wanting to know how to keep muscle, but lose body fat. Many trainers simply try to achieve “weight loss” for their clients without knowing how to specifically train and eat to lose “body fat”.
If you would like to know exactly how to build and keep more muscle, yet lose unwanted body fat, call Mike at 251-767-1256 and set up a free consultation at PT&N, Inc. You can also email Mike at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The NPC Alabama Bodybuilding Championships are an annual event in the state of Alabama. Anyone interested in preparing to compete in the show next year are encouraged to contact Mike at PT&N, Inc. and get started with early preparation.
