A new temporary exhibit called “Miniature Marvels: A Tiny Traveling Show” opens at The Mini-Time Machine Museum of Minatures on August 2, 2011. The exhibit will remain on display for about a month until September 3, 2011. The exhibit features circus themed minatures by local Tucson area artists.
One of the main items in the Miniature Marvels: A Tiny Traveling Show exhibit is Carnival Food and Fun: Mid-20th Century Sunday Fun at the Carnival. This miniature work was created by Tom Bulow between 2009 and 2011. It shows a typical state fair including working miniature carnival rides.
The exhibit also has the miniature piece Barnum #60, which was made by Wayne Wesolowski in 2010. This piece is a red circus wagon, such as the ones exotic animals used to arrive in when the circus came to town.
The Mini-Time Machine Museum of Miniatures is located at 4455 Camp Lowell Drive in Tucson, AZ. It is open 9am to 4pm Tuesdays through Saturdays.
