Mila Kunis Marine Ball invite spreads: Now Miley Cyrus and Scarlett Johansson

On July 30, 2011, it was announced that Mila Kunis may not be the only celebrity attending the Marine Corp Ball this year. Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis discussed the YouTube video invitation sent to Mila from Sergeant Scott Moore several weeks ago, while on the live show Fox 411. Since Timberlake and Kunis have accepted their invitations, more military hopefuls are sending out their YouTube invitations to celebrities.
Betty White received an invite but was unable to make it due to scheduling difficulties as she is currently filming “Hot in Cleveland.” Now Miley Cyrus, Scarlett Johansson and Emma Stone have received YouTube video invites. Both Miley and Scarlett have been invited to the Marine Corp. Ball while Stone has been invited to the Army Ball by a Blackhawk. You may see all of the video invites in the player to the left.
Has Mila’s acceptance started a trend? Will celebrities attend military balls each year in support of our troops?
Scarlett Johansson announced she is unable to attend the ball. In a statement released to Zap2It Johansson said:
I feel incredibly honored to have been invited to the MarineCorps Ball by Sgt. Dustin L. Williams. Not only does Sgt. Williams deserve recognition for his bravery, selflessness and dedication to the United States and its people, but he also displays a cheeky talent for film making.
Sgt. Williams, unfortunately due to prior commitments I will not be able to attend the Ball with you this year but I am sending you a case of Moet and Chandon with gratitude. In my absence, I raise a glass to you and all the men and women of the U.S. Marine Corps, past and present, in thanks for your continued commitment to preserving the safety of our nation. — Scarlett
There’s no word as of yet as to whether Miley Cyrus or Emma Stone will accept their invitations.
