Houston film fans, have you ever wanted one of those theatrical Q&A sessions where the actors from the film are actually in attendance to come to Houston? Imagine something like that coming to your home town. Doesn’t that make the film fan in you jump for joy and itch with anticipation? What if I told you that something like that was happening in a few mere days? Would you be interested? If you enjoy watching movies, you more than likely said yes to all of these questions.
The man who played Johnny Ringo in Tombstone, Cpl. Dwayne Hicks in Aliens, Kyle Reese in The Terminator, and Sheriff Hague in Planet Terror among many others is coming to Houston. Michael Biehn and wife Jennifer Blanc will be in attendance for a screening of the thriller The Victim, a film Biehn wrote, directed, and starred in. Both Biehn and Blanc will also participate in a Q&A after the film.
So where can you see something like this? At the Landmark River Oaks movie theater Wednesday, August 17th at 7:30pm. Tickets will be available online and at the door, but will be cheaper if you buy them in advance online. The press release, along with links to purchase tickets for the event, can be found below.
The Houston Film Critics Society and Odysee Pictures have teamed together to bring the Texas premiere of THE VICTIM to Houston on Wednesday, August 17 at the River Oaks Theatre. The screening will begin at 7:30 pm with both Michael Biehn and Jennifer Blanc Biehn in attendance with a Q&A afterwards.
The Victim is directed and stars Michael Biehn (Tombstone). Biehn also wrote the picture and his wife, Jennifer Blanc, stars in the film as well. As part of the Houston Film Critics Society’s mission, the group has worked hard to provide opportunities for the Houston community to see quality Hollywood projects up close and in an educational setting, HFCS president Nick Nicholson remarked.
“We are pleased to team up with the Odyssee Pictures group to bring The Victim to Houston along with Michael and Jennifer,” Nicholson said. “We believe this will be an outstanding learning opportunity for the young filmmakers in our community to commiserate with someone as talented as Michael and Jennifer Biehn.”
Tickets for the event are available online and at the door, although they are less expensive if you puchase here in advance:
