Sensitive skin is not a fun condition no matter where you live. If you’re a St. Louisan, however, you’ve got to deal with tons of sun and pollution in addition to anything else life happens to throw at your delicate face. Not cool! So when you find a product that works, you’re likely to stick with it.
Most women don’t necessarily have sensitive skin, but all of us may be prone to outbreaks of sensitivity. Some of us may be prone to acne or sensitive to specific ingredients in certain skin care lines, like AHAs or BHAs. Some even may have recently started a new skin care regimen that is angering their skin.
That’s what happened to me. My dermatologist at Washington University’s West County Dermatology office recently prescribed me a prescription cream with retinoid-like compounds. Suddenly, my reasonably normal skin became angry and irritable, reacting to everything I tried to apply from moisturizer to foundation. I needed help.
I was uneasy about randomly trying different products, but I had inside help. My Belleville Avon lady, who has supplied me with some of my favorite products for years, had several suggestions and even offered me samples. I scoured online reviews before finally settling on mark’s Calm and Composed Super-Soothing Moisturizer.
Calm and Composed is filled with plenty of skin-soothing ingredients. Glycerin and shea butter draw moisture into skin, while rose extract, avocado, and red algae reduce skin redness and irritation. The delivery system is ingenious and perfectly proportioned: Simply press the container down for the perfect pea-sized dose of moisturizer.
mark’s Calm and Composed Super-Soothing Moisturizer sinks into skin immediately for an immediately soothing, non-greasy sensation and provides visible redness relief. The comfortable feeling lasts for hours. I applied once in the morning and again after applying my medication at night for the best results.
As much as I adore this moisturizer, it does have one drawback: Any St. Louis lady needs a high quality sunscreen or sunblock. This one doesn’t have an added sun barrier. Although it’s not a huge deal to add a separate sunscreen, most of us are used to applying a combination product, so if you do choose to try mark’s Calm and Composed Super-Soothing Moisturizer, be aware that you’ll need sunscreen, too, for adequate sun protection.
If you are interested in trying mark’s Calm and Composed Super-Soothing Moisturizer, contact any St. Louis-area mark or Avon representative or visit an Avon center in the Galleria or other area location.
