Macy’s really knows how to throw a party while still giving back to the community. Great food, great fashion, drinks, great performing acts and a great cause. ThisAugust, Glamorama is coming back in full force and Chicagoans, I hope you are ready to have a good time. For those of you who are not familiar with Macy’s Glamorama: Macy’s Passport Presents Glamorama 2011 is four-city fashion tour that hits Chicago at The Chicago Theatre on Friday, August 12th at 8PM, bringing high fashion and fierce performances together for one ARTrageous night.
To say I’m excited, is an understatement! Last year the event was a hit and this year, Macy’s has taken the event to the next level! The event will once again benefitRonald McDonald House Charities ® of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana (RMHC®-CNI.) The collections showing this year include: from Armani Jeans, BAR III, Jean Paul Gaultier, Marc Jacobs, Papi, Sonia Rykiel and Tracy Reese, as well an advance look at the Karl Lagerfeld for Impulse capsule collection launching at the end of August only at Macy’s.
Glamorama will also include performances by the talented Cee lo Green & the amazine Far East Movement. Party Goers will have the opportunity to enjoy a full force event that not only showcases the hottest in trends for the upcoming fall season, but the hottest performing artists around! Be sure to stop by and say hi to your local examiner and join me as I Interact with fun activities from a unique photo op to renowned silhouette portrait artists and dance the night away as DJ Rex’s sound scape helps me get my groove on!
The trends that will be focused on for the evening include fall looks, but the Karl Lagerfeld for Impulse line is what has everyone in a buzz over! And, guess what readers?
