It has been a long wait, but Cupcake Vodka, one of the latest of the phenoms of flavored vodka, has finally arrived in Oregon. The recipient of incredible demand across the United States has finally caught up enough with production to ship some cases to the Oregon market, and it is already out in the liquor stores.
Cupcake first established itself as a wine producer. Then they realized they had the key to making some good vodka as well. So now they are in the spirits business in a big—and successful—way.
The Original Vodka bills itself as Six Times Distilled, and was developed by the Cupcake Winemaker in cooperation with spirits authority Doug Frost.
Cupcake Vodka is a blend of grain spirits “with a touch of grapes” for added flavor and texture. No added sugar though, as Cupcake espouses to be crisp and clean in style. The Original has already won some prestigious awards, but it’s really the flavors that are getting all the attention these days. Pinnacle Vodka, with its flavors, got the initial benefits from the craze for new and unusual flavored vodkas, but nationally Cupcake has been leaping into the fray with great results.
For Oregon, the Original Cupcake Vodka, Chiffon, Devil’s Food and Frosting (Vanilla Cake Frosting, to be precise) are now available in the distinctive blue and white packages.
All Cupcake Vodkas are priced at $19.95/750ml.
