Boating enthusiasts are gearing up to visit the Lido Yacht Expo in Newport Beach. The Lido Yacht Expo, which runs from September 22-25, is one of the largest boat shows on the West Coast. The show, in its 33rd year, will feature over 250 large boats and yachts for sale. Held at Lido Village, at the West end of Newport Harbor, the Expo is the place to visit if you are shopping for a large boat or yacht. In fact, it’s the place to visit if you just want to see some great boats!
In addition to the boats on display, the expo features a large number of dry land and in-water exhibitors. The exhibitors range from Yacht Financing to teak deck custom installations, as well as boating safety programs and yacht marinas.
Boats range in size from over 70 feet down to “smaller” craft at about 40 feet. With the boating market being soft throughout the country, this is a great opportunity to see some spectacular vessels and most are at near record pricing opportunities.
Parking for the show on all display days is available at the Lido Marina Village parking structure for $20.00 per day. On Weekdays, no charge parking is available at the Lutheran Church (798 Dover Drive) with free shuttle services every 15 minutes to the show. On weekends, parking is at Hoag Health center on Superior Avenue in Costa Mesa. Again, free shuttle service is available on a regular basis. In both cases, the off-site parking is far superior to parking at the show itself.
There are four great boats to look at while at the show:
· Ocean Alexander 65 Pilothouse
· Fairline Targa 58 Gran Tourismo
· Fleming Pilothouse 55
· Offshore 76 Motor Yacht
Each of these vessels are at the top of the available boats, and even if you are not a serious buyer for these specific vessels, they are showstoppers and should be boarded and looked at.
Toni Duni, Broker at Heritage Yachts, states “The Lido Yacht Expo is the best boat show in Southern California. If you are at all interested in buying or seeing great boats, this is the place to do it. The choices are virtually unlimited and the boats are just great!”.
The show hours are:
· Thursday – Noon to 7PM
· Friday – 10AM to 7PM
· Saturday – 10AM to 7PM
· Sunday – 10AM to 6PM
Admission each day is $12.00 for adults and children 12 and under free.
See you at the Yacht Expo!
Go boating, safely!
