On Friday, legendary Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw will turn 63 years old. Tuesday he joined the motivational team at North Little Rock’s Verizon Arena. “I’m a sex symbol,” he proclaimed. He joked about Metamucil.
Bradshaw said when it comes to motivation, be happy and put a smile on your face. When you get up every morning thank God for being alive, he said.
“Eliminate the dollar signs and do what you love.”
We should all be like 4-year-olds, Bradshaw said, they are always happy. He urged everyone to be productive.
He said when you see him broadcasting on TV he is usually smiling because he has no clue about what he’s going to say next. A smile on a face can turn the corner, he proclaimed.
When it came to his career, Bradshaw says he acted on his calling with his strong arm. Knowing what you want and taking the journey to get there are important things. “Don’t waste time, said Bradshaw.
Joy cannot be stolen from you, it’s a spirit deep down in your heart and soul, according to Bradshaw.
The importance of famiy came out in Bradshaw’s speech. He said after his trip here, he would be heading to see his 84 and 82 year-old mom and dad in Shreveport. They will have BBQ and play horseshoes.
“Love your mama,” he said. “Ain’t nothing like the love of a mama! Spit will heal and cure everything.”
Bradshaw makes his home in Gainesville, TX. He said his daughter Rachel is a country music songwriter and his other daughter, Erin is a horse trainer. Bradshaw raises quarter horses.
