“You didn’t think I was just gonna relax now, did ya?” – Grand Master In Ho Lee
That was the statement posted to the American Taekwondo Association’s Facebook Page Monday evening. The statement was accompanied by the announcement that newly promoted Grand Master In Ho Lee is now an official part of the Presidential Physical Fitness program and actively taking THE PRESIDENTS CHALLENGE. Below is the actual statement off of the ATA Facebook Page:

Just over a month ago, June 25th, Grand Master In Ho Lee completed a grueling year of training and preparation for his inauguration as the ATA’s third Grand Master. After a year of intense physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual challenge as a capstone to 40 plus years of practice in the martial arts you would think it might be time to relax, at least for a short time. Nope, not for Grand Master In Ho Lee. Grand Master has taken up the challenge of helping his organization become more physically fit by leading the way.
Grand Master In Ho Lee is no stranger to physical fitness and the power of exercise and proper diet. Having been diagnosed in 2004 with Type 2 Diabetes, he chose to fight back against the disease and began a personal pursuit of better fitness. As Grand Master began his personal battle he became instrumental in leading the efforts of the ATA in developing fitness programs and challenges such as the 40/40 Challenge (40,000 Fit / 40,000 Safe) and the Physical Fitness Testing requirements for all adult Senior Rank Black Belts (4thDegree and above). Using his own health issues Grand Master has served as a wake up call for the entire organization. Now he is leading the way again by challenging everyone in the ATA to join him in pursuit of the Presidential Active Lifestyle Award (PALA) and the Presidential Champions program.
In a world of growing waistlines and increasing incidences of childhood diabetes, obesity, and other health issues related to poor diet and lack of exercise, we need strong leadership. Grand Master In Ho Lee of the American Taekwondo Association has taken up the challenge of being one of those leaders. Will you follow him towards better health?
