Orlando, Fla. – Many have pondered where Casey Anthony will stay when she returns to Orlando to serve out her probation for check fraud charges, as ordered by Judge Belvin Perry. One place she won’t be staying, according to attorney Mark Lippman, is the home of her parents, George and Cindy Anthony.
“Casey Anthony will not be returning to her home,” attorney Mark Lippman told PEOPLE. “George and Cindy Anthony do not have any idea where Casey Anthony currently is or where she will be living while she is on probation.”
He added, “They are really trying to move forward… They have been through a lot, and they’re figuring out their next step.”
When asked if Casey’s parents would speak to her if she telephoned them, Lippman told the publication he is not sure, however, noted that Cindy may be willing to talk to her “but George might not.”
Prosecutors alleged that Casey killed her daughter, Caylee Anthony, 2, in the summer of 2008. Her attorneys claimed the girl died accidentally by drowning in the backyard pool and accused George of conspiring to hide Caylee’s body and of sexually molesting Casey as a child.
Casey was acquitted on July 5, 2011, of the crime and walked out of jail a free woman on July 17.
On Aug. 12, 2011, Judge Perry determined that Casey had not yet served her probation for a Jan. 2010 conviction for check fraud, thus she must return to the Orlando area no later than Aug. 26 at 12 p.m. to check in with the probation department.
