Airfares, on average, have increased 4% to the top ten destinations in the US. Those looking for great deals this Labor Day however, should look into fares to Las Vegas ($339.44 in 2011 as compared to $344.55 in 2010), Denver ($292.50 in 2011 as compared to $310.51 in 2010), and Phoenix ($331.92 in 2011 as compared to $339.17 in 2010) which are down for 2011.

Hotels appear to be more volatile than airfares with an average increase of 10% in the top domestic cities this Labor Day. Atlanta, with a 24% decrease in average room rate is the best choice in terms of value for those looking to save on hotel stays. Rates in Denver, Orlando and Las Vegas are also down, however, Miami — despite the steepest increases in air (8%) and hotels (29%) — remains the 8th most popular Labor Day destination.
