The clock is ticking down fast to the October 15 opening day for Legoland Florida, but 22 lucky kids and their parents for a sneak preview. Check out the video at left to see the rides they tested…and loved. The rides range from sedate to just a bit scary and are designed to appeal to kids between the ages of 2 and 12, with education mixed into the fun.
As you can see in the video, youngsters will soar on a roller coaster, drive carts, visit Egypt, and even go on an African safari, among many other experiences. They all graded it an enthusiastic A+.
Legoland Florida has come a long way from a barren construction site on the grounds of the former Cypress Gardens. Click here for helicopter footage of what it looked like earlier this year. I’ll be covering the park’s grand opening, starting October 14, as well as the passholder previews beforehand, so subscribe to my Examiner column for all the details.
