“The X Factor” U.K. judge Kelly Rowland has added the Collective Music Group to her management team, as first revealed by The Hollywood Reporter. She continues to be co-managed by Tim Weatherspoon. The announcement about Rowland’s new worldwide representation deal with the Collective happened amid rumors that she is “secretly” dating Weatherspoon.
According to British tabloid the Daily Mirror, Weatherspoon and Rowland have taken their rumored romantic relationship semi-public:
He and Kelly have already been on a dinner date and a beach date in California. The couple met through her old Destiny’s Child bandmate Michelle Williams, who previously recorded with Tim.
And her new “little thing on the side” is also said to be the reason behind Kelly’s split from her former manager, Devyne Stephens.
Rowland was previously managed by Devyne Stephens until she parted ways with him in June 2011. When Rowland was managed by Stephens, there were also rumors that the two were dating.
In 2009, Rowland (formerly of Destiny’s Child) fired her longtime manager Mathew Knowles (Beyoncé’s father), who had represented Rowland since 1991.
Other clients on the Collective’s roster include Linkin Park, Enrique Igleisas, Godsmack, Counting Crows, Big Boi (of OutKast fame), Alanis Morissette and Slash.
