Taste for yourself all the buzz about the 2009 French Burgundy wines! Palate Food & Wine in Glendale will have two tasting events this Saturday, July 30th, of Joseph Drouhin red and white Burgundy wines.
Rumor has it that the 2009 Bourgogne, or Burgundy, wines are a spectacular vintage, which only happens about twice every 10 years. This is a great preview of what is to arrive soon from France. Joseph Drouhin offers a wide variety of wines, from white Chardonnays to red Pinot Noirs, simple Village bottlings to classic premier crus. This will be a great education in the wine styles of the different villages in Burgundy.
The first tasting is a casual 6 wine sampling, from Mersault to Chambolle-Musigny and including the great Beaune Clos des Mouches, at the wine bar. This tasting will be offered all day long, no reservations required, for $25. The second option is a guided tasting of 12 wines, including Chambolle-Musigny les Amoureuses, a great and rare red Burgundy wine. This sit down tasting is available for a limited number of people, reservations required, for $65, and starts at 1:30 pm, lasting approximately 2 hours.
All wines are available for purchase, with 10% discount offered on Saturday only. So, say “Oui, oui” to French Burgundy this Saturday at Palate Food & Wine, and taste tour one of the great wine regions of the world from your bar seat.
