76 trombones led the big parade, but only one, played by Jacques Voyemant, leads the Jacques Voyemant Septet. Come hear this music man at LACMA on Friday, August 5th at 6PM.
This modern original jazz band debuted with an aptly named CD, Arrival. Comprised of nine of Jacques Voyemant’s orignal compositions, the album showcases Voyemant along with the improvosational talents of pianist Alan Pasqua, mulit-instrumentalist Bob Sheppard, bassist Dave Carpenter (before he died suddenly from a heart attack), vibraphonist Billy Hulting, drummer Dave Tull, and percussionist Brian Kilgore.
Enjoy a Need for Peace by arriving early for a primo seat since reservations are not accepted. You’re All Grown Up, so pack some snazzy apps and wine. Or, slip into the Stark Bar, for some Hanky Panky (gin, sweet Vermouth, and Fernet Branca garnished with orange peel).
Mix up Friday night with a Paradigm Shift.
