CAPE GIRARDEAU, Missouri (Isabelle Zehnder reporting) — A prayer vigil “Around the World” is being coordinated for Monday evening, August 1, to coincide with the prayer vigil scheduled in Cape Girardeau – “What time?” – “Any time.”
The worldwide vigil will go on throughout the evening of August 1, so people can choose the time they wish to set out to pray for answers in Jacque’s case.
The prayer vigil will be held at the Blue Cross Blue Shield parking lot on 471 Seimers Dr. in Cape Girardeau and is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. Supporters are asked to bring a candle with them. Some will be provided for those who don’t have them.
People across the globe have expressed their desire to help Jacque’s family. Taking part in the prayer vigil “Around the World” for Jacque is a way to show your support.
Jacque’s dad, Stan Rawson, said Sunday morning, “Friends: We have been invited to the candle-light vigil for Jacque Monday evening at 7:30 pm at Cape BCBS parking lot. Ruby [Jacque’s mother] and I intend to show up with the tripps [triplets] and anyone else that can make it.
“These prayer vigils are sooo important to keep all of us focused, and to request (as one group) that the Lord smiles on our efforts. Jacque’s Dad.”
Another way to show support for this family is to donate for the care of the triplets. The children were placed in the care of Jacque’s family when she vanished. Scroll down to see how you can help.
August 1 is the two-month mark of 39-year-old Jacque Sue Waller’s disappearance from Jackson, Missouri. Jacque had just filed divorce papers that day and then went missing after stopping by her estranged husband’s home to pick up her son who she believed was there.
Jacque’s family and friends say they believe she was lured to his home and made to believe Maddox was there, when in reality Maddox was with a “babysitter.” Some believe the woman caring for Jacque’s little boy was one of her estranged husband, James “Clay” Waller’s girlfriends.
Police have said they believe Jacque’s disappearance was staged to look like she was abducted.
Jacque’s good friends, Kristin and Elizabeth, and her sister Cheryl Brenneke, said last week that Clay threatened to kill Jacque and their 5-year-old triplets if she ever tried to leave him.
For over a year, her friends and family say, Jacque suffered mostly in silence.

Jacque endured not only emotional abuse, they said, but physical abuse as well. Jacque told them that he repeatedly threatened her life and the lives of their children. The reason she stayed was that on some level, she felt she had more control since it was when she threatened to leave that he made the death threats.
Her friends and sister said last week that Jacque told them Clay threatened her with a gun. Read: Jacque Waller’s friends, co-workers say threats turned to domestic violence.
Jacque’s family, friends, and community believe Clay is responsible for Jacque’s disappearance. They want answers for her triplets. Read: Family, community, and public response to Clay Waller’s arrest.
Clay was arrested Friday evening on charges of Stealing with Deceit and Harassment, not related to Jacque’s disappearance.
Clay Waller was taken to Cape Girardeau County Jail where he is being held on two cash-only bonds, $55,000 for the stealing charge, and $10,000 for the Harassment charge. Read: Clay Waller’s arrest for stealing, harassment while wife still missing.
