Josh Richards brought the Kyle Busch Motorsports #18 Joy Mining Machinery Toyota Tundra home in 22nd for the second straight race, this time improving on his 25th-place start in the AAA Insurance 200 at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis on Friday, July 29th.
Richards was heading for a top 15 finish, but as the race wore on, a long stretch of 103 laps under green led many trucks, including Richards, to pit for fuel; Richards came in during the final 10 laps. In finishing 22nd, Richards topped the #2 truck of Kevin Harvick Incorporated and driver Elliott Sadler, allowing KBM to maintain its points lead of KHI.
The boss will return to the seat of the KBM #18 for the next three races: Busch will be racing at Pocono Raceway August 6th, Michigan International Speedway August 20th, and Bristol Motor Speedway August 24th; Richards will attempt to qualify the #15 Toyota for KBM at Bristol as well.
