Independent developers band together for a 3rd running to offer gamers 5 indie titles at a price of their choosing.
How do you share the love of games with the community that helps keep your passionate careers afloat? I know! How about bundling a handful of sweet titles and letting the consumers choose the price? Start your salivating because Humble Indie Bundle 3 is upon us.
San Francisco indie dev, Wolfire Games, is at it again with another sweet deal for gamers across the globe. Players set the dollar amount, inexchange for 5 solid indie games. All titles are DRM free, which means, “When you buy these games, they are yours,” says John Graham of Wolfire Games.
Of the 5 games packed in this bundle are: “Crayon Physics Deluxe, Cogs, Hammerfight, VVVVVV and Yet It Moves. As is Humble Bundle tradition, all the games are available on Mac, Linux and Windows with all but one making their cross-platform debut in the bundle. Hammerfight comes with a new Survival mode, VVVVVV includes a never before seen map editor with new 3rd party maps and Yet it moves has launched into the bundle with new achievements and bonus content.“
If that wasn’t enough, as an extra added bonus, purchasers will also get play a free trial of Minecraft until August 14th. Being spoiled it nice isnt’ it?
Just like the previous indie bundle deals, you decide how your money is spent. This includes who gets which piece of your cash. You can evenly distribute to developers, Child’s Play Charity (an organization that provides virtual entertainment to ill, bed-ridden children at hospitals) and EFF, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a supporter of consumer digital rights or give it all to one or the other. In addition, you can tip Humble Bundle too. Sharing is caring
So far Humble Indie Bundle has sold over 177k packages, with bundles continuing to sell by the minute. This deal will remain available for the next 10 days so get on the band wagon that rocks the gaming community better than the rest and support indie devs, a great charity, your rights and games!
