Fort Worth, Texas, meet Veigar the ” Tiny Master of Evil”. Veigar is a goofy little champion, who tries to come off as an evil mastermind. In appearance, Veigar resembles a black mage from the Final Fantasy series. He is an extremely powerful ability power based champion, but he is also quite fragile. Veigar is a unique champion, in that he possesses an ability which allows him to gain ability power every time that ability is used. This quality allows Veigar to reach a potentially unlimited amount of ability power!
Veigar is the 28th champion to be introduced to the League of Legends. Veigar was once a typical yordle (a short bipedal race of the world), before he was framed for a crime he did not commit. Eventually after being jailed and isolated, Veigar went mad, and never became the same. Veigar escaped his prison, then sought to learn from dark wizards from around the world. Veigar’s intentions are to end all world-conflict by making the inhabitants of Valoran drop to their knees.
Veigar’s passive ability is “Equilibrium”, which increases his mana regeneration by 0.75% for every 1% of mana that he is missing. This passive can really help Veigar stay in a lane for a long period of time, before having to return to base. It is important to note that this passive only amplifies mana regeneration that Veigar already has. If Veigar’s mana regeneration is incredibly low, then this passive won’t make a huge difference.
“Baleful Strike” is Veigar’s most important ability, and sets him apart from other champions. This ability has a passive effect, which causes Veigar to gain ability power whenever he kills an enemy champion. When Baleful Strike is used actively, Veigar sends an orb of dark energy at his target enemy, causing magic damage. The reason Baleful Strike is integral to Veigar’s power, is because when Baleful Strike kills an enemy (not a champion), Veigar gains one ability power. So, if Veigar gets the killing blow with Baleful Strike on 20 minions, then he will have gained 20 ability power in the process. There is no limit to how much ability power you can gain from Baleful Strike! More ability power equals more damage!
