Houdini Plaza in downtown Appleton was the place to be last night for live music. Half Empty, the WAMI 2011 winner for Cover Band of the Year and People’s Choice for Northeastern Wisconsin, brought out a huge crowd of listeners and did not disappoint.
The audience in the plaza ranged from the very young to well seasoned. With music ranging from Cee Lo Green to CCR, Half Empty gave a little something for everyone. If dancing in the street and in the seat was any indication of the show last night, the band brought their best to the stage for concert goers. For those interested in spending more time with the band members, an open invitation to join them at Mill Creek after the performance was sent out to all.
Summer Concert Series
Half Empty is just one of the many talented performers scheduled in downtown Appleton’s summer concert series which fills Houdini Plaza every Thursday evening from 5:30-8:30pm. Heid Music sponsors this weekly installment of entertainment and the lineup includes music from Copper Box, Vic Ferrari, Greg Waters and the Broad Street Boogie, and many more. The concerts are free to the public and include local vendors to provide food and drinks for those in need of some refreshment or nourishment. Looking for something to do on a Thursday night instead of watching summer reality shows? The Heid Summer Concert Series can satisfy that desire.
