On Tuesday July 26th, HaChi Restaurant & Lounge held its grand opening with a private event for members of the media in NYC’s Lower East Side. Select items from the restaurant’s Asian fusion menu were served such as Filet Mignon rolls, Steamed Chilean Sea Bass Torchon, and Seared Duck, as well as a wide selection of the Chef’s Special Sushi Rolls. Red, white and rose wine and beer were also being served throughout the evening. HaChi consists of two levels: the first floor has more of a bar and lounge atmosphere while the mezzanine level is more intimate for a dinner setting. The design elements within the restaurant are absolutely beautiful consisting of plush cream couches, intimate lighting, and intricately designed floral sliding screens. The restaurant’s management hopes to make its customers feel at home, to have that personal touch, with this restaurant concept. HaChi’s menu will include an extensive list of small plates, both hot and cold, as well as seasonal specialties from the chef. In the coming months, a late night menu will be available as well as a weekly entertainment schedule with live music and happy hour specials.
