On July 21, 2011 Amanda Hootman was a special guest, from overseas by way of Skype, on Southwest Florida Public Radio – WGCU Public Media, (90.1FM).
Versatile young actress, Amanda Hootman, 22, whose roots are in Fort Myers, Florida, shared her past, present and future with WGCU’s Amy Tardif.
Tardif is WGCU Public Media’s FM Station Manager and News Director, and she asked Miss Hootman a variety of questions that revealed Hootman’s life in the entertainment industry during the show, Gulf Coast Live Arts Edition – (interview below).
The listening audience learned about Hootman’s goals and upcoming dreams and career in acting.
Come to find out, Hootman not only studied and worked in the entertainment business here in the states, but, at that time, was looking forward to graduating on July 30, 2011 from the Guildford School of Acting in Guildford, Surrey, England.
Hootman’s proud parents are Roger and Nancy Hootman, and another proud ‘group’ of people and talent whom of which some have worked with Amanda, is the United Film & Telelvision Artists (UFTA), also out of Fort Myers in Lee and Collier counties and surrounding areas.
UFTA had most recently presented Hootman with the 2011 Education in Entertainment Scholarship.
