Golfpac Travel, the golf industry’s leading travel provider, reached a major milestone this week when the one millionth customer called the company’s Altamonte Springs office for information.
“That’s a pretty significant number,” said Golfpac President Jeff Hamilton, who purchased the business in 1986. It originally opened in 1975. “We are proud to have served that many people over the years.”
Hamilton, who operates the business with a staff of 21 travel professionals, cited several reasons for the consistent growth over the 26-year period.
“I think it speaks volumes about our customer service,” he said. “We are blessed that most of our employees, the folks who deal directly with our customers, have been with us for over 15 years. And we have also managed to stay ahead of the technological curve over the years. We have managed to broaden our scope on a timely basis when it comes to things like the Internet and Social Media.”
Most of Golfpac’s travel experts have roots in the golf industry, so they are extremely versed in all necessary areas to make sure the customer’s needs are met. If the customer prefers doing the booking himself, Golfpactravel.com provides all the tools needed to make the right decisions. And under the “My Trip” application, the customer can access and adjust his plans at any time.
Golfpac has also benefited from solid partnerships with courses, resorts and destinations all across the globe.
“Our partnerships are very much a key to our success,” said Hamilton. “We work with courses, resorts and hotels within all the leading golf destinations – places like Orlando, Myrtle Beach, Arizona, Scotland, etc. And we are constantly expanding our relationships, always with the golfer in mind.”
