It’d be hard to find a gamer over the age of 15 who hasn’t played the original James Bond game, GoldenEye 007, on the Nintendo 64. If you did manage to miss it, or you’re just looking for a healthy dose of nostalgia, you’re in luck.
GoldenEye 007: Reloaded is technically a remake of the GoldenEye remake that came out on Wii last year, if you can follow that logic. In any case, the game sports Daniel Craig as the tux-wearing super spy and the campaign probably won’t be exactly what you remember from the Nintendo 64 days. Still, the ability to play the game in full HD on the PS3 and 360 will be welcome news to the many people who are down on the graphics capabilities of the Wii.
The most exciting part of the announcement is the reveal of the ‘Mi6 Ops Missions,’ which are separate little challanges that will task you with completing various objectives (Assault, Elimination, Stealth and Defense are the ones that are mentioned). If you’re thinking it sounds a bit like the Spec Ops missions from Modern Warfare 2 you’re probably on the right track, just imagine it with cooler gadgets and a healthy dose of James Bond bravado.
