Jane Lynch is thrilled to be hosting the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards in just a few short weeks. In addition to numerous costume changes, Jane dished in a conference call yesterday about what you will and won’t see at this year’s show. The Glee Examiner participated in the call, gathering some interesting scoop about the Emmys and the upcoming season of “Glee.”
Fans of Jane’s hit fox comedy, “Glee,” will be excited to know that the cast could be performing as a part of the show this year.
“As of now, we’re still putting together those pieces, I pitched a couple of ideas for the Glee cast, so I bet there will be an appearance.”
What else can we expect during the Emmy Awards this year? Jane revealed that despite her protests, she would be making multiple costume changes during the broadcast. But one ensemble that will be absent from the assortment is a Sue Sylvester tracksuit. Jane stated that she will not be wearing the signature item from “Glee.”
Ultimately, Jane hopes to make a lasting impression on all of the viewers.
“You want to make a splash, we want it to be special. It’s such a coveted spot. It’s like the biggest evening in television… You want to do it justice, I know I do. I’m humbled by it. I’m staying in the moment, I’m knocking out what I need to knock out. I’m doing my best for each moment of it. You take it a piece at a time, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say I hope it’s really a splash.”
As for what lies ahead on season three of “Glee,” Jane shared that the writers are “going back to basics.” There will be a focus on the storylines of the main characters, leaving out numerous guest stars for the most part.
