Where can homeschoolers go to find the best college information? How soon should families begin preparing for college? Is there an easy way to get the most crucial information for the whole college process?
Nearly every homeschool parent or student has asked these questions. Although there is a wealth of information on the internet, soritng through all of that to find the pieces that you need can be daunting.
College Depot has been created to take a lot of the stress and hassle out of finding the relevant details and making the college application process easier. In addition to topic specific workshops on financial aid, admissions, and scholarships, College Depot offers summer camps for 6th-12th graders to help them focus on the grade-relevant activity priorities for college prep.
Each grade group has a separate 4-day session during the summer that is filled with fun activities. The 10th through 12th graders had their camps in June, and the other grades are during July. All sessions are free and are held in the College Depot rooms of the 2nd floor of Burton Barr Library, 1221 N Central Ave, Phoenix, 85004.

- Camp for 6th and 7th graders
1:00-2:30 p.m. – Tuesday, July 12 through Friday, July 15
- Camp for 8th graders
1:00-2:30 p.m. – Tuesday, July 19 through Friday, July 22
- Camp for 9th graders
1:00-3:00 p.m. – Tuesday, July 26 through Friday, July 29

Camps will focus on college planning, based on age and grade, and will include how to pay for college, college life and career exploration presented through fun activities and by guest speakers.

College Depot is a full-service college planning center that offers free one-on-one assistance, family consultation and workshops on all aspects of the college planning process, from financial aid to career exploration. The service is open to anyone seeking assistance with planning for college.
