Mary Griffin, program administrator for foster care for the Colorado Department of Human Services, thinks foster parents are under-appreciated. “People don’t recognize the value of what foster families provide,” she said. “They are there 2-4/7, working with kids, nurturing them and trying to provide them with a normal life.”

Questions; have you ever read the ten commandments? When you take the time you will discover the basic theme throughout is, love? If, you love all others will follow. What if you never knew the true meaning of love. Who taught you the meaning, your parents, grandmother, grandfather? In order for adults to have a rational understanding of love each must be taught by actions what this word means. Foster parents are the instructors for this word, that is, they are an illustration of love by their actions.
We leave you with this thought,
“When you love you should not say, ‘God is in my heart,’ but rather, ‘I am in the heart of God.’ And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.” Kahlil Gibran (1883 – 1931) U.S. artist, poet, and writer
