July 2011 issue of Flare magazine is a special Canadian issue, dedicated to Canadian celebrities: actors, singers, models, and most importantly – Canadian fashion designers.
Canadian actress Elisha Cuthbert is the cover girl of this month. The actress is featured in a spectacular photo pictorial, as well as in an extensive article. Elisha Cuthberg was one of the participating models in The Heart truth Fashion Show that took place in Toronto in March 2011, days prior Toronto Fashion Week.
Some of the Canadian fashion designers and labels based in Toronto and Montreal featured in this issue are Kirk Pickersgill and Stephen Wong from Greta Constantine (the name Greta comes from Stephen’s mother’s name, and the name Constantine comes from Kirk’s grandfather’s name), Denis Gagnon, Pink Tartan, Angela Chen, Klaxon Howl, Danier, Aldo, Town Shoes, Joe Fresh Style, and others.
Some interesting and exciting fashion releases took place in Toronto in the past 2 months. Greta Constantine announced their collaboration with Danier Leather by launching the new leather line Danier Skin. The new Greta Constantine & Danier collection was launched in Toronto on May 16th 2011 and will be available in 20 Danier boutiques across Toronto and Canada starting mid-August 2011.
Other two successful collaborations on the Canadian fashion scene are Denis Gagnon and Aldo, as well as Greta Constantine and Aldo. This time it’s about shoes. The new spring-summer 2011 collection from Denis Gagnon for Aldo collection was launched in Montreal in May 2011. The new collection launch took place at the same time as the opening of Denis Gagnon’s new boutique in Montreal, the first one. The new fall-winter 2011/2012 collection from Greta Constantine for Aldo has been recently launched in Toronto as well.
Other Canadian celebrities featured in the special Canadian issue of Flare magazine are Shania Twain, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, the model Heather Marks.
