In Moreland, Georgia, five pit bulls are in desperate need of our networking.
Living in makeshift dog houses on chains, these dogs (2 females and 3 males) beloned to the grandson of the property owner. Unfortunately, the former is paralyzed following being shot, and can no longer care for the dogs. As for his grandfather, he can’t afford their care.
So because of that, he wants them off his property.
Food has been brought to these dogs but what they really need is to be taken in by a rescue. So far, all efforts have been unsuccessful, as all the rescues contacted have been full.
The dogs are in good shape — Be sure to check out the photo slideshow of these dogs (left)!
The home on the property isn’t doing as well. They are located in the woods on a huge plot of land, but blue vinyl tarps reportedly cover the roof because of lack of funds to have it repaired.
The dogs are all reportedly friendly.
If your rescue can take these dogs in, or if you can just share their story, it would go a long way. The local County Animal Control does not take owned animals, so that won’t be of any help.
