What? A Farmer’s Market in Garden City? That’s right, and it’s been a bit of a secret until recently.
101 County Seat Dr., behind Supreme Court Building, is the site of a weekly Farmer’s Market, where fruit and vegetable growers from the eastern end of Long Island display their produce. Off Old Country Road, County Seat Drive has ample parking as well as shade.
In addition to fruits and vegetables, local merchants often sell bread, cakes, pies, juice, and jellies, as well as locally grown plants and flowers.
The Farmer’s Market there is held Tuesdays, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., all summer, through Nov. 22.
