For those of you who don’t know the City of Euless is now the proud owner of an artifact from the World Trade Center. This 12-foot long, 6,000-pound steel beam that is a relic from the rubble of one of the twin towers. It will be on display in front of the Euless Fire Department.
Below is an announcement concerning the dedication on the 10th anniversary of the event, 9/11/2011:
Please join us for a ceremony on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 7:30 a.m. commemorating the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on our nation on September 11, 2001. A significant portion of the ceremony will occur at the time of the first attack on the World Trade center at 8:46 a.m. Eastern Time (7:46 a.m. Central Time).

Though it is rusted, its strength and fortitude is not diminished.
Though it is weathered, it is powerful.
Though it is scarred, it is solid.
Though it is scorched, it is still resilient.
The perpetual flame radiates our devotion to the United States of America.
It glows fervently with pride and admiration.
It reflects our patriotism and love of this country.
It burns with dignity and honor.
We will honor those who sacrificed their lives.
Our hearts will heal.
We will remember.
