Aksys Games today revealed that they are releasing a new update for their iOS remake of the classic side scrolling beat ‘em up, Double Dragon.
iPhone and iPod touch gamers have been able to experience the great action that older gamers remember from the original series as Double Dragon for iOS sees the return of the Lee brothers in three different game modes. Dragon Mode is a single player story mode where gamers battle it out with the Black Warriors as they attempt to rescue Marian while Double Dragon Mode is a co-op mode via Bluetooth and lastly a time attack mode where players attempt to complete levels as quickly as possible.
The free update for the game is from Bizio Interactive and should improve some of the functionality and gameplay of the title. Here are the features of the update.
-The control panel can now be set to display transparently
-Revised the in-game text
-Expanded the hit-box of the whip
-Moved the lights slightly higher in Stage 5
-Now compatible with iOS versions under 4.0
-Adjusted CPU and memory consumption
