The Arthur Diehl: “Friends, I Greet You” exhibit has been on display at the University of Arizona Museum of Art since January 2011. The temporary exhibit is coming to an end soon on August 7, 2011. Be sure to head over to the museum within the next week if you do not want to miss it entirely or want another look at it before it closes.
Arthur Diehl was known as The Champion Speed Painter of America. His studio was an early 20th century tourist destination, as he allowed the public to visit and and also sold his paintings at affordable prices. His studio was often referred to as The Philosophy Shop, as he often philosophized on a variety of topics while working including chemistry, physics, English, history, ar, modernism, and Marxism versus capitalism.
The Arthur Diehl: “Friends, I Greet You” exhibit can be enjoyed at the University of Arizona Museum of Art located 1031 N Olive Rd, which is near Park Ave and Speedway Blvd on the U of A campus. The hours are 9am to 5pm Tuesdays through Fridays and 12pm to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
