The Monroe County Library System has established a V.I.P. Partnership Program (Very Important Places)! The program is a partnership with many local museums and theaters to give patrons the opportunity to visit these locations at a discount.
Each location has a different discount associated with it. The following are the discounts: George Eastman House – $6 admission per person up to 5 people; Geva Theatre Center – Buy one full price admission, get one 50% off (up to 2 passes per purchase); Memorial Art Gallery – $5 admission up to 5 people; Rochester Museum & Science Center – Good for RMSC and Planetarium, Buy one admission and get one of equal or lesser value free; and Genesee Country Village Museum – Buy one admission, get one of equal or lesser value free.
The program works in three steps. Step 1 – Visit your local library and check out a V.I.P. pass (you need a library card to do so – they are free)! Step 2 – Take the V.I.P. pass to the Museum/Theatre Pass Partner and enjoy the specified discount. Step 3 – After you finish, return the V.I.P pass so another person can check it out.
Most of the Monroe County Libraries are participating in the the V.I.P. passes but go here to check participating libraries. You can visit or call your local library for availability of the pass.
