It is called the “Gateway to the Alps”, and it is called this for a reason! The backdrop of Munich is breathtaking. Just a short train ride away and tourists can enjoy skiing and snow filled fun all winter long! A city that is rarely heard of but is very popular to tourists is Heidelberg. This city was one that Mark Twain wrote about. He praised Heidelberg for its beauty, and personally loved it. Heidelberg’s Old Town is remarkable. With streets and homes as they were in the 18th and 19th century, one will surely fall in love with its old world appeal. Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, and many other cities are right at the heart of this country. Each of these cities has something different and interesting to offer any tourist who is looking to explore something new and different! There are many reasons why we can fall in love with Germany. So many have deep heritage from this country and have a connection to the vibrant language and the cultures that run centuries deep. There are thousands of things to do and see and to experience in this country that all of us have heard so much about. Germany is a very popular tourist destination and it’s very easy to see why.
