On Wednesday morning, the professional partners for this season of “Dancing with the Stars” were finally revealed — and while there were a few sad omissions (see Louie van Amstel or Chelsie Hightower), a number of our other familiar faces were still announced as a part of the show this time around (including Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Cheryl Burke, and also the return of Derek Hough).
One of the most-discussed members of the cast this season is Chaz Bono, and on Wednesday his partner in Lacey Schwimmer expressed online just how happy she was to be working with him:
“I’m so thrilled to let you know my dance partner on @DancingABC is@chazbono !! He is such an amazing person! And so sweet!”
Lacey was the first pro dancer to work with a member of the LGBT community on the show in Lance Bass, and she also has danced with the likes of Kyle Massey and Mike Catherwood. One of her biggest challenges is simply going to be not only teaching Chaz to dance, but working against some of the people around the country who are spewing out all sorts of hateful and unnecessary messages when it comes to Chaz being on the show.
Do you think this could be a pretty good team?
