CSI: NY, which will be premiering its eighth season on CBS 2 in Queens September 23 at 9PM, has a number of guest stars appearing in the first few episodes, and now there’s news out about the episode airing on October 21.
According to TVLine, Robbie Amell (How I Met Your Mother) and Justin Bruening (All My Children) will be guest starring on the procedural drama this year:
“Bruening will play Hank, a recent parolee who becomes a suspect in a murder investigation, much to the dismay of his basketball star younger brother (Amell).”
That should be the fifth episode of the season, the one airing after the episode featuring Danny once again under investigation by Internal Affairs (and guest starring Dean Norris), and it sounds like this episode could be a case of just plain bad luck after getting out of jail or someone risking a return to prison. Will Bruening’s character end up being guilty? Will the victim have some connection to Bruening or Amell’s characters?
