I have a confession to make: I am a sucker for a makeover. My favorite part of “America’s Next Top Model” are the transformations bestowed upon the fledgling models and while I could definitely do without the model meltdown that usually overcomes at least one contestant; I find the results to be extraordinary. It is also fun to see a quiet mousy thing become a sexy ingénue or the beauty contestant who morphs into an edgy puck rock star with attitude to spare. But let’s face, it these young women have a career to launch and drastic transformation is the name of the game. So what about the rest of us? We all could use a tweak every now and then (including this fashion trends examiner).
Unfortunately, most of us do not have the services of the most coveted hairstylists, makeup artists and clothing designers, which can make staging our own makeovers a daunting task for even the most adventurous among us. In order to make this process easier let’s break it down into phases: Face/Skin, Makeup, Hair and Clothing. Today the focus is on our beautiful faces or more specifically that patch of hair on our foreheads.

This is by far the easiest and least expensive change to make in order to make the most of your beauty. If you have always worn your brows in a thin high arch then switch to a slightly fuller look with a less pronounced arch which creates a softer and more youthful look. This would be a good time to splurge and have your brows professionally shaped. Have a consultation with an eyebrow specialist who can determine which shape will work best with your face.
