Monday, five games were played at the Little League World Series (LLWS) of Baseball in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and the most anticipated game of the day for local fans was the US elimination game at 8 pm…Louisiana vs. Pennsylvania.
Just 30 miles down the road from the LLWS headquarters, is Beech Creek where the Keystone Little League team is located and it has been 40 years since Pennsylvania has won the LLWS.
The Pennsylvania team has played three games at the 2011 LLWS, and attendance at the stadium has been breaking records. PA lost their first game and approximately 42,000 people were in attendance. They won their second game and 33,000 people attended the game. Monday night, Pennsylvania won 10-0 (10-run-rule ended the game in the fourth inning) against Louisiana and the crowd was over 28,000 people.
Warner Robins, Georgia’s Jake Fromm has been making a name for himself as a pitcher and home run hitter. The 13-year-old hit a two-run homer in Monday’s game against LaGrange, Kentucky breaking a tie game that lasted 9 innings. Fromm is 5’11” and is Georgia’s tallest player.

Pennsylvania defeated Louisiana 10-0
Georgia defeated Kentucky 8-5
Canada defeated Taiwan 5-3
Aruba defeated South Dakota 5-0
Japan defeated Saudi Arabia 13-4
Tuesday, August 23, 2011 three games are scheduled at the LLWS.
All Little League roads lead to South Williamsport, Pennsylvania! The LLWS is currently underway in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and will continue through Sunday, August 28 when the final championship games are played. The LLWS started with eight international and eight US teams. Hundreds of 11-13 year olds came from around the world to participate in the 2011 games.
