Chanel, one of the worlds most popular perfume brands is launching a new mainstream fragrance, known as Chanel No. 19 Poudre, in celebration of the famed-Cocoa Chanel’s birthday on August 19th.
Chanel No. 19 Poudre was designed by head perfumer Jacques Polge, and is thought to be more of a modern take on the original classic, Chanel No. 19.
With Iris being the main note, Chanel No. 19 Poudre is a delicate floral scent with an exciting blend of musk and Neroli. You can also smell hints of jasmine, mandarin orange, Tonka bean, vetiver, and galbanum. The combination creates a “powdery” layer in the scent, making it much lighter than the original, launched back in 1971.
With the “powdery-scents” being a big hit this year with younger women, the new Chanel No.19 Poudre will probably appeal to a much younger audience than its potent predecessor. And, those who loved the original No. 19 fragrance might not fall in the love with this one at first scent because the two are very different. Both have their own characteristics and are beautiful in their own way.
