The Cen-Tex Sirens used powerful blocking to roll past the San Antonio Roller Derby Charmed forces 162-91 Sunday in San Antonio.
The Charmed Forces started off appearing like they would take advantage of the home rink when Beyona Rampage scored a 13-0 first jam. But the Sirens from the Temple-Killeen-Waco area countered with a 10 point jam by Suicide Bombshell and a 14-0 jam by Annie Oops to take a 24-13 lead after the third jam.

The key to the run was the blocking defense of the team in purple with blockers like Sin D. Pop-Her, Misbehaving Rheaven, Anita Kalash, and I’Feelya Pain as they limited the Charmed Forces to six points in the last eight jams of the first half.
Bam!-b Dearest scored a 6-2 jam in the thirteenth jam, which was partially countered by Beyona Rampage’s 4-1 jam for the home team in the 15th jam. However, Annie Oops scored the biggest jam of the half with a 15-0 margin in the 17th jam and Zee closed out the scoring for the Sirens with a 2-0 jam as the visitors took an 89-38 lead into the halftime break.

However, momentum for the home team was stopped cold as Annie Oops scored a 15-0 eighth jam, and Suicide Bombshell added an 8-0 score to give the Sirens a 117-65 lead after the ninth jam of the second half.
It was time for San Antonio to wrestle back momentum and Beyona Rampage started that effort with a 3-0 jam, and she followed that up a 6-0 jam. Estella Virgin added a 10-4 jam, and a Punky Jukester finished the run off with a 6-0 score that narrowed the lead to 121-90 after the thirteenth jam. While the San Antonio fans were getting excited about the Charmed Forces comeback, Cen-Tex countered with a scoring run of its own.
In the 15th jam, the home team’s jammer was sent to the penalty box, and Suicide Bombshell scored the largest jam of the night, 18 points. The Sirens’ Annie Oops immediately followed that up with a 13-point jam, and the team from Central Texas took a 152-90 lead. Just to make sure there was no doubt about this game, the visitors scored a 5-1 jam with Bam!-b Dearest, and a final 5-0 jam by Annie Oops.
